For the empty seat problem find the point of contact with the roll bar by looking at the trim on the back of the seat. A piece of velcro on that point of contact - the fuzzy side - stopped the rattle for me.

I have a rattle from the top of the windshield - probably the trim - that I've been trying to pin down for weeks. Anyone else have this one?

Try fastening the passenger seatbelt when noone is in it. Sometimes the buckle rattles against the side when it's not buckled.
im going to try that today and see if i dont hear it anymore in mine.

Darn you anyway!

I've never had this problem until this thread came along. Took an 80 mile trip this morning, caught some road construction and hit a couple of rough spots. The seat rattled just like you guys have been talking about. Never noticed it before.

Oh well.......

i just slam the passenger as far back as possible so it can't move when against the back.

Mine only does it with a passenger and usually when there are side-to-side movements.

Had this problem, now I throw my sun shade behind the passenger seat and slam the seat against it. No problems

better to search and bring up old thread than to start new thread on old topic
