Has anyone installed Borla, not Neuspeed, PN - 14877 exhaust on thier stook?? I have had it priced at $572.00. Seems resonable, but looking for more insite before purchasing un-seen.

Specifically looking for weight savings, fit and sound level @ WOT??

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I don't think the Borla was liked by the couple people who tried it... the Nuespeed is well liked (i think)... HKS is pretty nice, but more $$$ ($750 through a huge group buy thing)

I have hks and it sounds very nice in the car (top down) at 7000rpm... above that the engine noise (music) takes over.

I'm trying to find out if Borla and Neuspeed's exhausts are the same. If they are different, I think Borla uses a different muffler on theirs vs. the Neuspeed's.

Otherwise the piping should be the same:

I installed a Borla about a month ago and LOVE it. Installation was easy and it sounds great! (About an octave lower than the stock exhaust.) It also weighs about 5 pounds less. I don't know how much of a boost in performance I got, but it sure sounds like I'm going faster. (It feels faster, too.)

I have the HKS Hiper exhaust for sale if anybody else is interested. Just like Scot said, it sounds very nice.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I read on the forum that Borla makes the Nuespeed system. I also read that the HKS system is very load. Not what I am looking for.

Scott M, as for the Borla pricing; I have this at work and will post early next week (e-mailed from Borla and I know the supplier is located in Utah).

Thanks again for the inputs. I think I'm going to go with the Borla system and I will post my finding when installed!

The price I got was from Borla; "you will get the best price and service on that system from comp design @
801-484-9812. Talked to Comp design - PN - 14877. $572.00".

I have not talked with them yet. When I do, I will ask about a potential group buy.

FWIW, I installed a Borla system on my Jeep last summer, I loooove the sound!

Don't have a clue what the StooK would sound like, though!
