Default re-connecting the air bag....

I did a search and another fellow owner had a problem after he dis-connected and re-connected his air bag on the steering wheel. His srs light came on and wouldn't go off. Apparently, he was the only one who reported this problem. Others didn't have this problem, or didn't say anything.

My question, I have this rattle/buzzing coming from just behind the air bag assembly on the steering wheel. I would like to take off the air bag and see if I can locate this noise. I will not be taking off the entire steering wheel. Is this something that should be done by the dealer?

Although I don't know about the buzzing, I ran into a similar problem with the SRS light on our RSX when we swapped in the JDM steering wheel. Although the airbag was reconnected, the SRS light stayed on - to turn it off, you need to have the dealer clear the SRS system's memory (or purchase the reset tool yourself - it's about $4.00 and the procedure is documented in the Helms manual). In light of the buzzing, you may be better off having the dealer do the whole thing.

Hope this helps!
