Hey steven since your doing research have you seen any slips or times for the 04 stock breaking high 13s to low or mid?

Its just a mystery with the extra hp boost why are all the times the same....I heard theres an extra shift for the 04 but other than that I do not know why.
nope, not yet. as a matter of fact, i haven't seen slips of any s2k yet. i haven't been in the racing forum much. i'm usually in the s. cali forum, under the hood, and this one.

we need to get two s2k owners (04 and 03 stock) and record them running. from 0-60, 0-100, and 25-120 . of course, both drivers should be decent drivers and the 04 has been broken in properly.

I'd like to see it at a track so we can get actual #s and valid results.

there are too many variables to get real accurate times. Not every track is similar or no two drivers are the same. besides, 10hp equates to what 1 more mph in the 1/4? Good/bad driver can make that. That said, the vtec.net car put down good power while a consumer car also put down similar numbers as the test car. My personal opinion, the 04 is easier to drive consistent and faster for the bad driver. The 00-03 needs everything perfect to hit <14.0 My take on why times are similar is 0-60 takes 1 more shift in the 04 than the 03 and 1/4 times should be similar as you're in vtec most of the way down so the 04 down low advantage is only at the start and 10hp really isn't that big a difference imo when you have so many variables like I mentioned above. My only real comparison is when I drove my friend's 03 while he drove my 04. Below vtec, the 04 pulls, but with him being used to the 9k redline he would hit fuel cut and I would fly by in his 03. We'll have to try again with us being in our own cars, but I still think before vtec, the 04 will pull hard. Don't know what a roll start from after vtec would do since we would never be able to get accurate starts

I polished my Spoon Canuter Valve and gained almost 10 hp over previous dynos. The Type R is not recommended for cars under 300 hp.
