Default Reality check : Are we s2k dorks?!?

Drove from San Francisco to friggin' Oakdale, California and back today. 4 driving hours and not a single s2k sighting.
Then as I'm pulling out of my office parking lot, I see another s2k, girl driving, bald head guy sitting shotgun. I run out first and chirp second to catch up, and they both turn their heads to see who da hell is driving like a maniac.
"Beep, Beep!" - I give a big grin and a peace sign!
The guy and gal turn to each other and chuckle a bit.
I pull up next to the driver. "Are you going to the Hopkins event on saturday?"
"Uhhh.. (chuckle). No."
"Go to s2ki.com!"
They turn to each other again and start laughing and shaking their heads.
I feel like such a loser. Oh well. I like the little bubble I live in.

I feel sorry for them cuz if they have questions or problems with the car they are probably dealing with Honda sales or service

If pre-S2000 you were a dork, post-S2000 you shall remain.

This sounds like an AA meeting rather than a regular thread.

Yes we are dorks we are nerds and yes we are all crazy about our cars yes we are nuronic and paranoid! Yes we all think we are driving the most exotic car on the road(Ferrari/Lambo/etc. you pick). As others would say........."ITS JUST A HONDA!"

I've bumped into a handful of S2K drivers that don't get it. It's like not getting "the wave" returned by bikers when you're out riding. Makes me wonder why they bought the car. Kinda impractical without the passion.

My heartbeat still jumps when I look at my ride. Add me to the dork count.

Its pretty good around here, I get a lot of people giving the "whats up" nod. but some of the "older" s2k owners dont have a clue what a wave is so they pretend to ignore it. Jerks.
