good stuff here. never really thought about target fixation in a car, but hey, if it happens on bikes so much then i dont see why being in a car is any different.

Driving smoothly and under control is good advice for the street too!

Looking farther down the road (you have to train yourself to do this) is great for the street too! Another point he could have included was to look where you want to go. This is particularly important for avoiding collision. Don't look at the place you want to avoid, focus on the escape route. Your car will go there instead of the danger zone.

Sweet. Now I have a new euphemism for dropping a deuce.

"I'm gonna go practice my braking technique."

And it's even more appropriate, because you'll know that your technique is not good if it results in skid marks.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing
I didn't know about that #2 tip.
I'll try to keep those in mind.

Was number two ( ) suggesting a late apex or just saying a street drivers' instinct is to hit an early apex? Though staying on your own side of the yellow lines is always good advice.

#4 is probably the best way of putting how it should be done. that's great.

The smoothness advice is true of most things in life. I would love a ride with a great driver like Jackie Stewart, too bad the closest I can get are Best Motoring videos.

Props for the link.
