I installed plastic tubing on the hooks that engage the strikers on my S2000 yesterday to prevent wear (if possible). I found it much easier to slip the tubing on the hooks if I heated it in some hot water. I also lubricated the hooks with a tiny bit of oil. The tubing is just about invisible.
