Replaced one rear axle, SC'd the car and the vibration is more pronounced. Axle was replaced due to an accident. I am going to replace the other side and see what happens

Spoke with one of buddies who is a Honda mechanic last night and he told me that Honda's have always had CV's as one of their weak spots.

Lowering may exaggerate the problem, but I've just broken 40k miles and definitely have this problem. No suspension mods. No engine mods. Definitely noticable at highway speed under hard accel...

Exaggerated by the power of this car and pretty much off-the-shelf engineering for these seemingly basic parts? I think so. A powerful, well-balanced car, but the clutch, for example... ugh... the various tranny problems (clutches gone after <30k miles, 2nd gear grind, 4th gear popout, overheating/oil pump issues), clicking axles, shaking rear ends/cv cavitation, blown diffs... surely not a huge number of occurances, but enough.

As long as they fix it under HondaCare... I hope it doesn't happen in another 40k miles, 5k after my warranty expires.

Off to the dealer...

My car has always been stock height. I noticed the vibration under throttle only when hard cornering or at highway speeds when passing. Inboard CV joint replacement has eliminated the problem for now.
