Another S2000 owner in the area told me he heard a "noise" from the rear. Dealer said the rear axle needed lube and they had 3 other similar problems. Has anyone experience this? Is it or should it be covered in normal maintenance?

 

it is probably the axle nut needing to be retorqued. They need to remove the axle nuts (the large 30mm+ ones), clean the area, and put new nuts on with the updated torque specs.

the old nuts CAN be reused, but new ones SHOULD be used.
