Default Rear Axle Nut TSB

As I mentioned this earlier and gotta great help from Saki GT,

I've taken my car to the dealership today to get it fixed under

warranty. Now, my car is at Carson HONDA and they said it is not

covered under TSB, besides they can not locate the problem I have

described. They are giving me hardtime about the whole situation...

what should i do ? or what can i do ?

I've repeated myself to them that it is rear right axle spindle nut that

needs to be retorqued... and yet they are ignoring it

I kind of doubt that the rear axle nut torque TSB would apply to a MY06. They should have had the correct torque applied at the factory.

Demonstrate the noise to them. Get some agreement between yourselves that the issue could be a less than tight axle nut. Show them the TSB. Ask them to try retorquing the rear axle nut. It's not very difficult.

Where are you located? Another S2ki member in your area probably has the tools to re-torque for you. I've done 3 cars in my area.

to meeh, i think this is BS~

i've owned the car for 10 months now and I don't even

drive it hard. I drive it like a grandpa cuz i baby my car

Rear axle nut becoming loose, i understand but what i dont

understand is that this will not fall under warranty work..

its a complete BS.

I could retorque it myself but that is not the principle here u know..

thx for all of your inputs though ^^

Look. If you have a MY06 and it is within the factory warranty then if your rear end is making noises, it is under warranty. Simple as that (unless of course you broke something through abusive behavior -- not likely).

Not happy with the answer at the dealer? Take it to another one.

Check to make sure that the nut hasn't shifted...might not have staked it completely. Did you replace the nut with a new one? If it's been unstaked and restaked a few times, it probably won't hold like it used to.

Take the nut off and use LOCKTITE extra strength thread lock on the threads. Retorque to factory specs.....
