Default Rear End Swap

Has anyone done a swap to convert a Ap1 rear end to a Ap2?

Closer 1,2 gear and taller 5 and 6.

I do a lot of highway driving, and having a taller 6th would be nice.

Has it been done and is it a direct swap?

You may want to do a little more research because you are 100% wrong

AP1 and AP2 both have an axle ratio of 4.10

The AP2 transmission has a different final drive ratio along with 5 and 6th gear ratio. 1-4 are exactly the same.

Swapping the differential will do absolutely nothing for you.

Amuse in japan has done this swap on their car. They swapped the whole rear subframe, though. Their reason for doing it i believe was to benefit from the revised geometry of the AP2 rear (whih had no bumpsteer issue).

Won't a rear end affect ALL gear ratios?
