Default Rear glass replacement

I've finally come to the realizaiton that I won't be able to afford a MY02 S2K. Since the 00 and 01 came with the plastic rear window, how much would it cost to replace it with an 02 and up glass rear window?

The search doesn't always work very well. You can get hundreds and sometimes thousands of returns with any given word or phrase.
In answer, I've seen reports of up to $1500.00 installed.

is that only for the replacement of the window? i thought an entire new top costs that much. or is that what they do, replace the top with a MY02+ top.

Apparently the whole top must be changed, with minor mods to the frame. It is on my list of things to get done, I hate the plastic window! Although, now that's it's cooled off in Texas, the top may not go up much!
