In the middle of March I was cleaning my wheels (took them off) and I noticed grease heaped on the undercarrage in a straight line front to rear directly over the rear inner boot. Turns out there is a small (2mm) split in the boot and it was throwing axle grease at higher speeds. There are no boots in the world. Here I sit waiting for a silly boot. None in the entire supply chain. I wonder if they only make some replacement parts when there is a demand? Has anyone else needed to replace a boot? (I expect no answers to that)
Bottom line is Honda will release the part in Japan on 4/14 and hopefully they won't send it by ocean carrier.
I won't drive it with the leaking boot except to get it fixed.
