Are Ap2 rear lights the only ones with the red ring when the lights are on, or do some Ap1's also have the red ring instead of the red circle? I tried doing a search but I couldn't find many night shots with rear lights on of ap1s. (and I'm on my sisters mac and many weird things are happening on this computer..)

Yea AP2 rear lights are the only ones with a lit red ring.

yes only ap2 have the lit circle cuz of the led, the ap1 is just a normal bulb and reflects the whole circle out. i have a pair of ap2 tails for sale if your interested. just pm me thanks.

i can't remember but wasn't there a video before where an ap1 had circle led bulbs on ap1 tails that emitted a circle effect?

Those are the normal AP1 tails, the outer ring is simply the reflector piece of the tailight which is reflecting the flash from the camera.

(unless, of course, he has the aforementioned mod which gives an LED ring around the normal AP1 break light)

dug up the video i mentioned above, actually not a circle but still a cool cheap led option, rather than swapping over to an ap2 set...
