Rear Spoiler installation
I'm thinking of ordering the OEM rear spoiler and want to know how difficult it is to install. The installation instructions I downloaded don't appear to be that difficult but the disclaimer reads:These instructions are intended for use by skilled technicians. These procedures should not be attempted by do-it-yourselfers.
Looks like the hardest part is installing the new trunk springs.
Have any of you do-it-yourselfers attempted to do this installation and had great success and/or failure?

There is a Do it your self thread that will explain it all. Look at the FAQ thread at the top of the under the hood forum. It will have a link to the thread.
In a word, you if you have handy and will not barf drilling into your car, it looks easy to me.

This is going to sound odd...
I installed an OEM spoiler on my mother's Mazda 3. It was a snap. Just start out with a very small bit when doing the drilling, then take it step by step until you reach the correct size. I even used a few in-between sizes they suggested skipping, simply to be more careful.
Honestly, anyone can do it. It's just that they don't want to tell people that, then have some moron drill six holes in the wrong spot on his car.

Go ahead and order it!!! Very simple install! If you will check, under the trunk-lid, you will find "Factory" indents, as where to drill. Be sure to use small bits and work up! ( new) bits. Throw away the springs !!!!! NOT NEEDED!
