When I first saw the bent over edging of the bar I was very worried that I might had missed some frame damage in my due diligence search before buying the car. Turned out that everything else looked fine and I went the bling comptech route

The factory bar while functional is very cheap and flimsy next to the billet comptech btw.

You can twist the factory one by hand.

The combination of a lower rear tie bar and a rear STB do make the rear end feel more firm and planted.

That may be true, but the forces on the lower bar are horizontal and impose compressive and elastic forces, not torsional ones.

thetz99 - Though very nicely machined, I wonder what would have happened to the Comptech brace had it been on the car when the OEM bar was flattened out. Aluminum is not nearly as elastic as steel, so I suspect it would have been more severely damaged by the impact.

LOL....yeah I;d love to hear.
He made it sounds as if it is somehow not his fault!

I've seen someone breaking several componets of the car including rear tie bar when he bottomed out his car from driving stupid.
