Default Rear tow hook cover

My S has been sitting for the last 4 or 5 days and I came home yesterday and the rear tow hook cover on the bumper was hanging off. This happened once before and I just find it strange and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.

After owning my S for 8 years, never had this happen. have you ever removed it? Frequently? Maybe the retention clips are worn out or broken?

I did remove it a couple of times after waxing my s to get the wax residue off the edges but it fit back on snugly. In 11 years I have had it happen 3 times and it happens sparodically its very strange.

The clip fingers do get loose after a while. I've wrapped some electric tape on my clips and it's been fine.

Mine hasn't ever fallen off, however I noticed it is somewhat loose after I (intentionally) removed it while cleaning the car a couple months ago. I think the dirt was holding it in tightly before..

A new one from Honda is less than $20, might be worth a shot if you're concerned and don't want to glue it in there or use tape.
