Default Rear Tow Hook Cover "missing"

I just noticed my rear tow hook cover is missing (it's the round piece of plastic on the bumper). Has anyone else lost their tow hook cover? It doesn't look like a piece that would just fall off. My concern is that someone was trying to steal my car. Also, is the dealership the only place to get a new one? Thanks all.

These things come pre-painted to match your car. The dealer would be the best place to order one. They aren't that expensive and I don't think anyone makes a "knock off" just so you can save a couple of bucks.

Take off the front one that you still have and you'll see just how they are held on. It's not likely it just "fell off". Someone likely yanked it off, not to try and steal your car (as there's no need to use the tow hook to steal it), but rather just for an act of vandalism or adolescent fun.

My tow hook cover came off when I hit a pot hole while taking a shortcut through the ghettos of southern Mississippi after hurricane Katrina. The tip of my exaust hit the exaust cap and popped the tow hook cover off. A new cap was ordered from my dealer and it was around 20 bucks +/-.

I recently lost mine. I ordered one from hardtopguy for around $7 and change. Best price I've seen even with shipping compare to dealers.

I had the same problem, the dealership should have them in stock if not they can order it with a 3-5 business day turnaround

I bought one for the rear bumper. It cost about 13 CANNUCK BUCKS, so that would translate to almost NOTHING for you guys.

Actually, with the current exchange rate, it'd be about the same
