Default Rear Window Care

Having just gotten the rear window replaced on my '01, I'm interested in learning as much as I can about keeping it in pristine order. I've seen allusions to literature on this subject. Can anyone here point me to a source for care instructions? Thanks!

Go to FAQ at the top of your screen. It's got some great info.

I'm at work so don't have the info, but there's a product in a spray bottle that is used for plastics that works great on the window. Motorcycle and even aquarium shops have it. I found it on the Internet and am very happy with it. I use it on window and all plastic lenses on my vehicles. Great stuff. NOW, MAYBE SOMEONE WILL KNOW WHAT IT IS. I don't remember the name (Sorry)!

magician, how did you get your window replaced? Did the dealer do it under warrenty? Or did you pay for a new soft top? Mine is getting pretty bad, not even plexus helps that much.

Plexus as regular clean-up and I remember people recommending the Meguiar's #10 and #17 polishes for heavy-duty cleanup. I haven't gotten the Meguiar's yet but have run through an entire can of Plexus (which is also effective for cleaning the top cover boot thingy and headlight/taillight lenses - just about anything plastic).

Magician I am a retard I just read your other post about your new rear window LOL. Do you think that if I bring it to that same dealership they'll do mine also?

Magician -

I highly recommend Plexus. I made it a weekly ritual on my '01 and while it is a pain in the ass, my window stayed very clear and distortion free. You can pick it up at just about any motorcycle or boat shop.
