Default Rear window pads

In over 5 years of ownership, this is the first time i've looked at this part of the soft top. The left side pad is completely gone, just what's left of the adhesive strip, the right side is still attached, but just barely. I'm not really too worried about it unless there's a chance that the glass window will wear out that part of the soft top. Anyone have a fix to this, or replaced these before??

Funny, I was looking at my car in the garage the other day and noticed my driver's side pad was just about gone....

I used double-sided sticky tape (not the thick stuff, but extra sticky though) to attach the pad to the glass (rather than reattached in the orignal location, it is just flipped over now). I could not think of a good way reattaching it to the top, and now I still have a pad to keep the glass from rubbing on the top. I also thought of just taking it out, but liked this better. The fix has held on for over a year with no problem and is not visible unless you go peeking under there. I'm also interested to hear how other people dealt with this.
