I have not used a 'roll' concentrating instead on using only a MuzMat. I've been using mine now for going on 2.5 months and I'm pleased to say the window appears to be acquiring no new scratches.

I pulled my mat out on the w/e and gave it a good vacuum cleaning. IMO most of the rear window damage does indeed seem to come from the hard roof well as opposed to the window folding on itself i.e. from the inside not the outside.

Before using the mat I was having to use Meguiars polish (followed up with Plexus) on the window every 2nd or 3rd wash. Now I am getting by with Plexus alone.

I just zip down the window, but I keep saying that. The window then doesnt fold as far either, just bends a little, then the top folds down into it. I recommend the mat with that though, cus the window rests on the rear deck when zipped down.

Does this "noodle" go on the outside of the top or the inside? If on the outside, how do you put it on without getting out of the car?

hehe... you don't You have to jump out and place it across the outside of the window when the roof is half lowered and then jump in and finish the job.

Oh ... and remember not to raise your top at traffic lights and the like.

One of the reasons I haven't bothered with one myself.

I am a "noodler" and, while it is a pain in the butt to get out of the car when raising or lowering the top, the noodle does work.

The towel works better and is more convenient than the noodle IMHO.

Just an update... the pinch is still there but much much smaller. It'll probably work itself out at some point.

Since it wasn't hot enough (just sunny) to really help the unpinching process, I tried pooring really hot (not boiling) water over the affected areas and it improved it dramatically, reducing the pinch by about 80%.
