Plexus is a plastic cleaner... works great.

I get the crease if I leave my top down too long without a towel in there... but since I always park with the top up at night, it usually goes away by morning... if you part outside, leave the top up, the heat from the sun will take most of that stuff away.

You guys have a manufacturer for Plexus? Sounds like good stuff.

Use the Search function and you'll find that Motorcycle dealers, Petsmart, and some places online sell it.

I have always assumed that the vision through a plastic window will always be distorted to some extent and gets worse with time. I haven't seen a convertible with a plastic rear window NOT look distorted. This is just normal for this type of window. I've never given it a second thought. I'm surprised the dealer gave you 3 of these already. To me, this is not a vehicle defect.

The pool noodle/Muz window tube does NOT prevent distortion. It's there to guide the plastic window when in the folding process to not crease vertically. I bought and then sold my window tube realizing that this is all that it does.

The two faint horizontal creases are there by design. No tube or towel will get rid of these horizontal creases as the plastic window does not simply fold in half.

You have a plastic window. Get used to it. If it bothers you enough, trade up for the '02.

Aargh - I bought my '01 S2k a month ago not realizing that the '02 would have a glass backwindow! Dough! Guess that's the way it goes - the next car is always going to be better.

Is there a website that details the improvements slated for the '02 S2k?

thks in advance

it's a plastic window! what did you expect?

i read all the stuff i could about how to carre for the window. the muz mat, the tube, and plexus. finally i decided, i will care for the window as best as i can, i keep it clean with plastic window cleaner and i watch it when i drop the top to make it isn't bending wierd. but that is all.

i bought the car to enjoy, and if the crappy view out the back window is a problem i just quote from a historic movie.

I tinted my back window with a static tint on the outside and the thickness of the tint seems to keep the plastic from pinching so tight and forming the lines when the top is folded. I have never used the tube but I do use Plexus, and the reduction of the fold lines was pleasant surprise in addition to reducing the chance for a scratch on the outside of the window. Here's a view out the rear with the tint and there is still a bit of distortion, but not as bad as before I got the tint on there.
