Rear window replacement

Default Rear window replacement

is there anyway to just replace the rear plastic window without having to replace the whole top? any attempt this?

i dont think so!

just upgrade to a glass window softtop there are a few people on the forums selling them for $700

i just picked one up

Uhh, yes , it CAN be done. The window zips out. There is a bit more to it than that, though. Doesn't the glass upgrade require a new frame or is it just a modification to the old frame? Obviously the glass window cannot fold like the plastic one.

You are correct about the plastic window zipping out, along with some other rivet work in the rain rail. The older frames can be modified to work with the glass too, which is what I just did a couple months ago.

Don't know about the S2k, but when I had my miata I had a new plastic window put in by an upholstery shop that did auto uphosltery and headliners. They stitched in an entire new plastic window. Cost was minimal, around 115 for the whole job ,iirc.

o didnt kno about the plastic window o well dont really care for it its CRAP!
