rebuildable s2000 what is it worth?
I have a 2001 spa yellow s with 40k that was hit in the rear (needs a new rear clip) no frame damage as far as I can tell what do you think I could get for this car if I bought it back from my insurance co and put it on ebay? It will have a clear title.

It will definitely be worth while to buy it back from the insurance co. and resell it. At most, you'll end up spending 20% of the vehicles value (pre accident), so you'll come out on top no doubt.
I know my dad regrets buying his car back from the insurance company. I think they were going to sell it back to him for around 3000. The interior and engine bay were perfect just body damage. Having said that the seats and enigne should bring in some decent cash.
I'm not sure I understand, if it has a clean title why are you buying it back from your insurance company? Unless your state is VERY different, insurance typically will pay for the repairs if the damage is under a certain amount. If its high enough that they pay you off for the car then it would be branded a salvage title.
So your insurance is totaling your car for rear bumper damage that didn't touch the frame? That sounds funny to me unless you insurance thinks your car is worth $5k.
How extensive is the rear damage? Both quarter panels and trunk damaged? I know the quarter panels are the worst part to fix since you have to cut the old ones off and reweld new ones on.
