This happened to ALOT of people, the problem is, the dealership sends you an invite to come to the dealer and have the TSB fixxed for free. if the previous owner didnt do it, and sells the car and the engine fails due to this problem then honda isn't responsible anymore due to the lack of the previous owner.
this is ####ed up, i had the same problem! sparkplug no4 failed, broke off, dropped some guts into the cylinder, made a deep scratch along the cylinder wall and the engine was toasted...
To make things worse, i bought a NEW engine, and guess what happened after 1 week of driving... i was to stupid to check the plugs on the new engine, suddenly it started to run on the rich side ( you could hear it on the exhaust.. ) i pulled the plugs and guess what... ALSO the OLD plugs! and the electrode of plug no4 ALSO broke of, only a MUCH smaller piece than on my previous block. i guess i was lucky this thime because it flew right out of the exhaust valve and didnt damaged my engine. a set of brand new updated plugs made my engine run like a champ again.
The new plugs should end at "11S" on the part number...

i was unaware of this TSB - i have a MY00 as well.
fortunately i am no longer on stock plugs - are the plugs the problem, or is it something else?

Please, you have been a forum member for 3 years and you missed this discussion?????
Any car, go to the manufacturers web site and look up the TSBs/recalls, and certainly for any used car go to a dealer and have them run the VIN.
Your repost title and discussion are both wrong. It was never a TSB, and they didn't damage your car.

Sorry to hear your problems. I actually just applied at Honda of Joliet and know a few of the technicians. Where in Joliet are you? I drive the silver E30 (old BMW 3-series) that used to have the wide ass black wheels on it.
