Default Recommendations for S2K Replacement Carpeting?

I have been seriously considering swapping out my red interior for black. A couple of members are interested in swapping seats and door panels but not carpeting. If I do swap the seats and door panels for black, I do not want to keep the red carpeting. Some have suggested to get it reupholstered with a better grade of carpeting than stock. Any suggestions? If I do decide to stay with stock carpeting, does anyone know approximately how much it is (and the best place to order it for that matter!)

Thanks!

Maybe you can just get a black leather console cover and some black Muz luxury mats. You'll end up with a black red interior, but it'll be easier and more cost effective.

I swapped out the red carpet sections for black, which is a mod I highly recommend for people with red interiors. It makes a huge improvement and it doesn't cost very much.

I'll check with Trevor on pricing - thanks.

I have ordered Muz's luxury mats in black, and was considering the console cover as well. How do you think that would look though?

Rick - which sections of carpeting did you swap? Did you swap it out with stock carpeting or something else? Was it difficult? Sorry for the questions!

The console covers are awesome, so you should get it no matter what carpeting you go with. I have both the mats and the console cover and they're quality stuff. See how it looks once you have both pieces in place and then decide if you need the extra step to get rid of the red carpeting. Like Rick said it doesn't cost very much to switch the carpeting. Who knows you might like the two tone look.

All you need are the passenger and driver side carpet sections, which are one piece with padding. Installation is pretty easy. You have to remove the seats but it's not much more complicated than that.

Thanks guys.

Rick - so you did not replace the red carpeting around the console because it is covered by the console cover (right?) Are there any other exposed pieces of red carpet, like behind the seats - or is that all one piece? Did you order your carpet from HandA?

I didn't replace the center console carpet because you have to take half the car apart to do it, Fortunately, nearly all of it is covered by the console cover, with a bit exposed behind the seats where it can't be seen unless the seats are folded down. I didn't buy it from HandA only because I was foolish -- they have the best prices, for sure.
