Query about S2000s with red/black interior
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away ...
I owned a couple of S2000s with red/black interior trim. Now, my 3rd S2000 is a bit dull inside (IMHO) and I also dimly recall the MY07 seats were allegedly made of thinner leather than in previous years. The all red interior is not to my taste, a bit too much red. Whatever the case, I am failing to find any old photos of my own that show which bits were red and which were black, except I am fairly sure the seats were all red leather, the dash was all black vinyl and door inserts were red leather (though the majority of the door card trim was in black vinyl.) If I recall correctly the carpets were black and the central tunnel cover was also black, as were the roll hoops. The nets were red-trimmed black as were the mats.
Can anyone help advise/correct me?
thinks: I bet Lovegroova knows.
(I now have his geo settings which are brill (apologies to anyone driving the A1M/A505/A11 who I cut up on Monday on the way home ))

Facelift door cards are interchangeable and its not much work to swap the gubbins over.
Black door cards with red inserts and black seats with red centres would be my choice.

Mine is 05 red / black
Seats red centre and headrest with black sides.
Dash all black.
Door cards black with red central panel.
Transmission areas side is red with red carpet and red behind seats.
Does that help?

There are three types of Red/Black combinations. Prefacelift had red seats, carpet (maybe?) and door card inserts, but black dash etc. Early facelift (holes in headrests) have red centre panels on the seats, but black bolsters and backs, red leather centre console, red carpet, black dash. Later facelift (solid headrests) I think had red fronts and black backs to the seats, but I could be wrong on that. Same as the earlier facelift for the rest.
Feel free to point out anything I'm wrong on, but I don't think that's too far off.

Most tallies with my recollection except my old ones (pre-facelifts) I thought had black carpet/transmission tunnel. Wonder if Carol remembers? edit: @Jim: the seats on that last photo are different from the MY04 also the tunnel treatment differs - is this what Chris calls 'later Facelift'?
