Mugen does look much better in person than the OEM and receives much attention. Quality wise the Mugen Hardtop is shit.
why is the mugen quality bad?

Go OEM. It will retain it's value MUCH better, and for it's less expensive than the MUGEN CF or FRP pieces.

OEM all the way. It's insulated, finished to match the interior, prepainted, comes with all mounting brackets, and has a built in defroster with a much better view. The mugen one has a plastic rear window, no defrost (I think you have to buy the window separate too. Is that right?), no mounting brackets, no finish on the inside (i.e. bare CF or FRP), and you still have to paint it to match unless you're after the CF look. Overall, looks are subjective. The question is if you really do like the looks of the mugen top more, are you willing to give up the other things? Neither top is ugly looking and both look great IMO, but I'd rather have OEM of the mugen any day.

I say you should get the mooncraft hardtop (mainly because i want one but cant justify the $$$$$)

Besides that, i agree that the OEM is a nicer piece, especially from the inside...

Whatever one you do get though, the car will look bad-ass

Which one looks better to you? I went for OEM since it came with all the hardware, plus a glass window with defroster. With the Mugen, IMO, it only looks good if you are modified with rims etc. plus the mugen doesnt even come with hardware so basically you have to spend about 500 more dollars to attach it to the car. I like both but prefer the oem.

To clear up some misinformation

From Kingmotorsports website
The Mugen hardtop comes complete with every factory Honda seal, panel, and hardware piece you will need for installation. Expect approximately 4 hours for installation. The rear window is of polycarbonate construction and does not utilize a rear defrost mechanism.
both look great. IMO Mugen = Sexy

I heard if you have a nice body kit go for mugen. They don't look cool by just that alone. IF you got no plans on putting any kit, go for oem.

Bump for Seibon.. Its not perfect... i have 2 small issues with it. but since it only costed me 1800 w/ hardware... I'm pretty happy. Mugen looking is nice... says BALLER to me... OEM says... well its just OEM... a little plain.
I have had both...BTW
