why is the mugen quality bad?
It comes very crudely finished, much sanding, filling of holes/ imperfection, did I mention sanding? All that adds up to increased body shop costs. Not exactly what Mugen's propaganda advertises.

Besides that, theres the infamous right front latch mis alignment which is actually a flaw in the mold itself. this defects has also been passed on to the Seibon clone.

It can be corrected, but it requires machining both front latches to have more play, and to fabricate diferent width shims (than from those supplied) for the rear latches. After that, reserve many hours with a friend to spend on alignment.

Not exactly what I expected for what I paid for. Needless to say I am very disappointed with Mugen quality. Moreso, I friend of mine had similar problems with an RSX Mugen front bumper.

Aside from that, it looks outstandinly superior to an OEM.

But if I had to do it all over again I would chose OEM.
