how long has anyones S2000 been at the dealership for service


i am pushing 16 days now and counting...

 

Whats wrong with it? 16 days seems like forever when it comes to this car

 

My S2000 has never been in a dealership service department. In fact it's never been in any service department since I've owned it. I do my own wrenching because I don't trust shops and don't feel like paying $1,500 for a job I can do in a Saturday.

My S2000 has been down for a total of 12 days from the time I found that a mouse had chewed through the fuel supply line till the time I got the part in and replaced it.

 

Four days for warranty work, but most of that was waiting for a part.

 

My S2000 has been in the shop since October...

 

^WTF lol, since I do all the work myself except for alignment (few hours, max since I make appointments), the longest downtime for me was 3 days while I did the clutch!

 

1 hour for an alignment 2 times during the 6 years I've owned it. And that is the only time it has been in a shop.

 

My S has been out for 3 months I was deployed though so.....

 

Been out 4 days at the shop. Improperly tightened spark plug detonated #2 and fubared my motor. Dropped it off Tuesday and had a brand new engine from Honda in her and running Friday afternoon.

 

it is in perfect working order, but i have been away from my S for a month and a half and i will get to drive her again tomorrow!
