Red calipers
I really would like to get my calipers powder coated red (along with my ap2 v1's pc'd in black chrome) but the only problem is that I really can't afford the down time, it is my daily driver. When I get the wheels done it wont be an issue because I will just slap on my stock wheels, calipers = different story. Should I just spray them with high temp enamel or something? I came across a kit that was brush on (never really thought of brush on as an option because it usually looks like ass, but would sure simplify things) It included caliper cleaner to prep with and some kind of special paint with hardener.
Has anyone used this kind of product or any other type of paint? If paint is a bad idea I will probably end up buying a spare set of calipers to have PC'd. What do you guys think I should do?

Brush on is much easier and if you used good paint you do not see any brush marks or anything. I used a g2 kit and it works great and looks great. Just pull the wheels off and you can leave the calipers on and paint it.
Thanks man! that is what I was hoping to hear. I am pretty good with paint so I think I will give it a shot. If it works I will end up saving alot of time and money. If not I'll just end up buying another set of calipers and pc-ing them. So, worst case scenario: I waste 40 bucks on the brush on kit.
The duplicolor kit is really good. The red is outstanding. The G2 Kit looks a bit orange to me. The duplicolor is easier to use.
You must prep very well. If not the paint will just chip off in a couple of months. Buy extra brake cleaner and a hard bristled brush (not plastic) to get all the brake dust off.
Good Luck.

^^ Thats interesting because the G2 kit costs twice as much. I may try the duplicolor soon since its readily available at my local autozone. Just curious however, how do you position the car to get all 4 wheels off at the same time? I have two non low-profile jacks available (I usually use these in conjunction with the stock jack when lifting one side up) and two jack stands. I've only lifted my car up one side at a time.
I have a set of 4 jack stands I use. I use the front jack point to ack up the front first, then I position the jack stands, then i raise the rear end from the rear jack point and position the other 2 jack stands. I havent done that ina long time though. Ever since my buddy started letting me use his lift pretty much whenever i want it has become a lot less of a used method for me. I used the suplicolor kit on my rsx and it looked good. You can also get the stickers that say s2000 on them if you like. They look cool in my opinion.

i stopped doing the caliper paint stuff because everytime i did mine it seemed to chip and stuff. i've used both duplicolor for the engine (heat resistant) and the brush on caliper paint. after it looked chipped up it just looked janky so i never did it again.
