Red engine paint

Default Red engine paint

Alright everyone. What's the best thing to do, if anything, to stop your paint peeling off the head cover?

I tried that "Wrinkle-Plus" paint.... no good. I ended up painting it with Duplicolor Engine Enamel, white. Looks very clean, and a little ricey haha.

VHT Wrinkle Plus seems to be pretty good, although my skills in applying it are not.

Ok. So the s I am looking at has a few flakes in the red paint. I was surprised as it only has 40k on it.
Do I touch it up or remove and re powder coat?
How easy is it to remove and is it as simple as putting it back on and using a torque wrench to make sure bots are right?

Just take out the top 5 bolts, coil packs, and anything else that is connected. Be ready with a new valve cover gasket set from Honda. Also, while its off, look into how to do a valve adjustment. As for taking the old paint off (you either take all off or none, no touch up will look good), get yourself some aerosol paint stripper and something to scrape. Paint came off mine very easily.

12Nm (1.2 kgf.m / 8.7 lb/ft) Use a star pattern
