Red in the face!!!
That's exactly what happened after I stalled my car at a traffic light. No biggie just push the start button to restart the car and zoom off right?? Wrong!! I couldn't restart the car. Was she punishing me for stalling her in front of all those people? So as I sat there, blocking traffic and turning a couple of shades redder sp? I tried and tried and tried. I checked to make sure that I had the clutch depressed all the way, I even put the gear in neutral. No dice!! So I pulled the keys out (don't know exactly why I did this) and put in back in and walla.. she started right up. Is this normal? Has anyone else noticed this? I haven't had the courage to go and stall the car again to see if it would happen again.

Haha, I stalled when I did a 180 at a local autoX and the car was damn near impossible to start!! But after holding down on the start button for like a minute, it finally turned over. It could be likely that the engine is flooded after you stall..

Well, if you think about it, in a car without a start button, the key actually is in the "on" position after you start the car. The key actually has 3 stages: off, on, and start. Since we don't really have a start position for our keys, I think you'd have to turn the key back to the off position before trying to start the car again with the start button. Hope this makes sense.

i've stalled a couple of times in the beginning but i'm usually up and running in seconds...not sure why you had to remove the key and all that good stuff...normally i just push the button and i'm back on my way

Hmm, now I've been a passenger in a handful of S2000's that looped and stalled at Auto-X (and, ahem, my own) and they all took some effort (time) to restart. I believe the protection theory but I haven't read any details about it.
