I didn't read it because it sounded lame...
If you're looking for something to make you laugh, look at this thread.
I don't care if it was locked or deleted. Sometimes discretion about sexual exploits is appreciated.

I like that thread, some very funny stuff there.
Like I said... Bass is entitled to his opinion which is perfectly fine... I have no problem at all what so ever about it. And he posted freely in that thread and that was fine too... but to go and make sure it was deleted, I find was wrong.
I found it funny as many others did as well and there were the few that found it stupid... ok... more power to you.

A S2000 forum is first and foremost a CAR forum - who drives cars? ADULTS (or at least people over 16 years old
).
What is one of the activities adults partake in? Dare I say it....S-E-X (some more so than others).
Given S-E-X is an activity adults (sometimes non-adults) like to experience a discussion about it, without pornographic illustrations or personal attacks on other members, should be within the boundaries of an acceptable discussion topic.
The decision to close the thread was to probably avoid a sh*tstorm of controversy between members, which was probably a good call by the moderators.
Given that we live in a society of free speech butting heads with other people will most definitely be unavoidable from time to time.
Personally, I feel like the thread was fine as it was - just my 2 cents.

yea andre, way to make another post just like we told you last nite at the meet. there are much worse things on the internet for a 10yr old girl too read about. i doubt she will be looking at a s2000 forum anyway...and if she did, she probably thinks vtec is a dirty word that means something sexual. people have worse avators and signatures on here than what was said in andre's thread.
if you dont want your daughter reading inappropriate material on the internet, then i guess you better keep her off the computer. there are much worse things your daughter can stumble on while surfing the web then a bunch of adult males talking about sex in a car.
check out Chris Hansen's, "How to Catch a Predator" on Dateline NBC and you will see what you really dont want your 10 yr old daughter to be doing on the internet. She probably has a Myspace account, which is much more dangerous than s2ki.com.

The problem is not the one person complaining. He has a right to complain just like the OP had a right to post the poll in the first place.
The problem is with the moderator who locked/deleted the thread based on ONE complaint. Moderators have a tough job, yes, but they should also have the ability to balance the wants of the many vs. the complaints of the few.
The thread may not have been in the best taste, but it was WAY less objectionable than practically every thread in the OT forums, and even better than a lot of signature/avatar pictures. If the mods want to lock down content like that, they need to be prepared to lock down ALL risquee content.
Because on a discussion forum (and I belong to a lot) the only thing worse than over-moderation is unequal moderation.

But I think it was wrong of that person to REQUEST that it be locked/deleted.
