Default Regional S2K mechanic

Does anyone have knowledge of an expert S2K mechanic in the Louisville, Cincinnati area? I am seeking someone that may perform the necessary valve adjustments and/or install the Flash pro modification to eliminate the root cause of the tightening exhaust valve issue with my 07' GPW?
Thanks guys! Enjoy the curves!

The valves tighten due to the mechanics of the engine, a tune ain't gonna prevent it but a tune can eliminate over-lean conditions. You gotta remove the valve cover and bend over the engine for an hour or two some Saturday morning (cold engine) with $20 worth of "special" tools and a set of bent feeler gauges. Good task for you and another S2000 owner. Don't need to be an expert for this task. Got a buddy with a Honda 4-cylinder motorcycle? The S2000 resembles a scaled up bike engine. Since this has to be done on a cold engine taking it to someone involves leaving it overnight and not moving it in the morning -- engine will exceed 100°F in a minute.

Tuning with FlasPro can be done via email. You buy the device, get it tuned, and put it back in the box. It doesn't stay connected to the car. If you're going to this trouble have the VTEC engagement point lowered for more mid range power. Mine engages at 3600 rpm under WOT. Requires a high flow car.

That would be a good question to ask in the Ohio and/or maybe the Upper Mid-West sections.

A Flashpro tune can address the root cause of dbw premature valve tightening, as its a result of running much leaner, and hotter, than previous year S's. Basically any performance based tune done properly should address it, as tuner will use logs from your engine to refine the tune.

As stated, a high flow cat, when paired with Flashpro, will allow tuner to lower vtec rpm under heavy throttle (normal driving will be unaffected), resulting in feeling like you just added another liter of displacement. A lot more power under the curve (and probably a little bit more at the very top end).

This is a little less than $1k if bought new. Add about $200 or whatever a Gernby tune goes for these days (can't go wrong with Gernby), and this is the best bang for buck performance mod in all of S world (aside from supercharging).

The Flashpro doesn't require anyone local. You plug it into odb port under the dash, hook up laptop with tune from Gernby, download. There are several such files he sends you, and a driving cycle you have to follow and capture logs to send him. You do this a couple times as he refines your tune. All done via email.

As for the valve adjustment, agree with find someone local to show you how to diy. Honda bike friend or local S guy. Or take it to a local motorcycle shop. If they work on Honda bikes they'll be experts at this type of valve adjustment. Same tools, same techniques. Easier to get valve cover off. Harder to bend over fender.

My Gernby FlashPro tune was under $100. Original tune can be put back in the car is less than 5 minutes including crawling under the dashboard and finding the OBD2 port. The FlashPro programmer is locked to the ECU so the car has to be put back to stock to enable the programmer to be used on another car.
