Regret Molesting Your S2K?
Daniel--- i like the mods you've done. It looks like one common theme to yours is they're easily reversable--and you've kept the OEM parts. I'm doing the same with the minimal mods on my '07.
While i have no plans to ever sell my car, i'm not going to live forever so at some point either I (or my kids after i'm gone) will sell it. These cars deserve to be driven and enjoyed now but we should try to let future generations enjoy them as well---- think 50/60s vette, triumph spitfires, MGs, etc.
Every time someone puts a carbon fiber picnic table on their trunk lid or adds a "body kit", it drops the resale value of that car and increases it for those folks who've only done "reversable" mods. (my loose definition is those mods that can be "undone" by removing the part and/or replacing it with with the OEM part with no paint or boody work required)
And I have the german made roof liner as well---bought in the big group buy on here a few years ago---really nice!

I considered mine massaged not molested! No regrets.......I feel like modded cars are like art. Do with it as you like, some people will like it....some people won't. In the end you can't take it with you so you might as well enjoy! (Still need to add to my sig, always a work in progress) I drive my car every chance I get.
Black oem lugs
AP2 wheels
Blacked out H emblems
Fender emblem removed
Painted calipers silver (p/o painted them red)
Ricks clear diffusers
Clear side markers
Gonna do suspension this year. Probably Eibach pro plus kit and Koni yellows.
No regrets so far.

Almost every car I buy I mod in some form. When I bought my S2 I stated "not a single mod honey is going to happen"----well.... a month or so after purchasing I installed K and N intake, year later Cat back exhaust, painted stock wheels, Moddiction 1 pound shift knob, Red leather Shift boot, New Red carpet Floor mats, Bluetooth Stereo, Modded Stealth Hitch, Stainless Brake lines, Slotted Rotors, Speed Bleeders, Interior under-dash lighting, LED Map Lights, Clear side markers and some carbon wrap accents...today I just ordered some TSW interlagos Wheels with Tires. NO Regrets
I agree 1000%. Going forced induction is not included in this (in my opinion) since it's strictly for performance. But that stretched tires, hella flush, demon camber, slammed to the ground nonsense makes ANY car look cheap. Don't get me started on the multi-colored wheels fad as well. Nothing like having a really clean car with some weird red or green wheels. Seriously?
I purchased my S2000 with the turbo and the few other minor mods (front sway bar) . It's darn close to perfect. The chassis and brakes are up to the task of a modest power boost and the rest of the car will remain stock with the exception of the stereo.
I have plenty of miles driving stock S2000's including the mighty CR. Like Carroll Shelby, I feel that a properly modified car is a better car.
You just can't make the argument that the "fine balance" achieved by Honda has been ruined. It has not. The turbo is a perfectly quiet, refined, daily driver.

I love the exhaust at WOT, but being that I'm getting old and don't see WOT often at all, it ends up being annoying,
especially because it's so gutless/just noise below 5-6k...
I've always tried to be smart with mods. The reason I don't have a loud exhaust is because they are loud and draw unwanted attention. I generally keep the car stock unless I think the change will be something I can live with, but if I was tired of a mod, I wouldn't hesitate to go back - the car should be something you enjoy to drive, and that's why you change it, one way or the other.
the gears I didn't consider before...I'll def look into it

When you get older (even though I'm only 27)/have a family you start thinking about being more age appropriate with everything
lol

I'd love to do boost down the road, conservative set-up, and that's a mod I don't see most people regretting.....until something blows orrr I get stuck in rush hour traffic with a stage 3 clutch like my old evo
