I have a K&N air filter too, does it really add 5-10 hp?

That's why I don't do any non-reversible mods, and I keep the OE parts in case I change my mind. I'm not really into modding (my car just has a few small things, plus a stereo HU and speakers), but I'd probably change my mind if I could nut up for an SC. Maybe when the kid is out of daycare...

I'm goin to have a soft top for sale this winter when I pull mine...

My S is bone stock except for a K&N air filter - 5-10 extra hp so don't regret that one at all lol . I do have the modding bug and enjoy playing around with cars, though. Have had a few CRXs and when something breaks it's actually cheaper to go aftermarket than OEM since so many of the latter parts are discontinued. And having a CRX to work one allows me to "scratch the itch" while leaving my S untouched

probably not but that sound when Vtech Kicks in

the roof liners we got are made by AUCO in Germany----there was a group buy on here years ago and they were ordered directly from AUCO and shipped together to the US to one member who then reshipped them to each of us in the group buy. We got them for a good price (around $300 if I recall correctly)

here's a link to pictures of the liner---

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/301...2roof+liner%22

and a link to AUCO's website (it's in German.......)

http://www.auco.de/details.php?ids=0...2000+%26reg%3B

based on today's euro/dollar conversion rate of 1.35/$1 the list price on their website of 389 euros translates into $525---probably would be able to find a distributer in the US and find out the price they sell it for

I did some things to cars in the past that I regretted that made me do things differently for cars I've owned in more recent history. Since the package the S offers isn't really easy to find in cars these days, and being that I'm a Honda guy at heart, I decided my S2000 CR would be the one I keep for the long haul. As a result of that, I've left it stock and only drive it on the weekends or nice days to enjoy it but still keep it somewhat perserved since I want to have it for a long time. The only mods I have on my CR are a different shift knob and HKS exhaust... completely stock otherwise. Additionally, I have kept the OEM parts and will not sell them so that I can put it back to stock if I wish.

Everyone should do what they like to their own car, it is their choice afterall. However, I am glad that I have kept mine mostly stock and will have one that is more valuable and admired for not being "molested." One thing I've learned over the years is that everyone always appreciates a clean, original car and that's what I strive to maintain.

molest away and make my car more valuable please.
The mere fact that these cars have not depreciated in the pat 5 years indicates the value these cars hold now and likely into the future. That being said, it's a car and made to be driven, hard. When you are ready for a garage queen, put the stock parts back on, wash her up, grab a lawn chair and admire.

my S was used as a track vehicle by previous owner so I got it slightly molested...I told myself I was going to take it easy and just drive it as is and before you know it I bought wheels, js racing exhaust and suspension, nothing crazy..but molested nonetheless

I love the exhaust at WOT, but being that I'm getting old and don't see WOT often at all, it ends up being annoying, especially because it's so gutless/just noise below 5-6k...the other part is that it invites every jerk off to try and race you and just drive stupid around you, the wheels I love the look of but being 18s it makes the gutless part that much more evident, I was looking to downsize to 17s but of course all the 17s I really want (volks) are a grip, not to mention all the other goods that we see scattered throughout the forums/endless wishlist of things I'd like to get makes you too consumed with trying to get parts versus just enyoing the car

lastly but not least, and it goes hand in hand with exhaust part, it makes me feel like a teenie bopper sometimes because I know I'm automatically associated with teenie boppers when people see me in it...the s2k demographic has changed drastically since the days where I couldn't afford it, and with all due respect to the young people, riding slammed on 215s, and buying $1700 wings with 700mm wingstands for parking lot pimpin' is just lame and not how I want to be potrayed/viewed as...I have non s2k people, like co workers tagging me in retartedly stanced s2ks all the time like when are you gonna do this? so clearly it's happening...so now when I see a stock one, it just looks "mature",an adult sports car..

however going back to stock is easier said than done, I've all ready had roll bar removed/stock plastics back in, just wondering if anyone else is going through this?
I understand you Kojo, I'm 42 and wanted an S2000 when they first came out but could not afford them at that time. As you age your taste do change, loud exhuast and slammed to the ground will make you look like and old cat trying to roll with the young crowd. Fortunate I dont have that desire as I'm trying to keep the integrity of the car intact as much as possible by modifying with simple upgrades to improve the looks that I desire. I have placed oem front lip, and ordered Ohlins coilovers and Advan RSII.Easily reversable and does not alter the car body. I agree with some of the members here that this car will in time aquire more value. As time goes by the copies out there being modified and cut into, chopped, paint changed, etc will lose value end up in scrap yards. Leaving the clean copies to be desired like all current collectables today. This was a one off from Honda especially rear wheel drive like sports car should be!
