Removal of visor airbag warning label?
Has anyone removed the airbag warning labels on the visor? They are kind of ugly. However, I don't want to try to remove them if they don't come off clean and looks crummy after removal.
Rick made some great looking stickers that i have installed over all airbag and other stickers in the car (4 of them). they are black with a red "s2000" on them. maybe check the group buy section for them?
Boy, you are just full of questions!

Rick Hesel had a sale on S2000 labels a few weeks ago which go over the ugly airbag warning labels. They were about $8 I think. I'm not sure if he still has any available. You might want to send him an e-mail to ask. I put them on mine, and they are just a perfect coverup.

Hey Mike. At quick glance, I couldn't see them in the GB. I think there was only limited availability at the time. If the GB is over, I'm sure Rick will have one or two sets left over that he can sell to 9K. (After all he's the most enthusiastic poster we've had for a while - and therefore deserves a break!)
I removed the stickers from the smooth vinyl side and put Rick's stickers on the fuzzy side.
The removal was a complete success!
I used Goof-Off, applied to a shop rag, and then rubbed. The vinyl will absorb some of this and swell a little. Don't Panic! All will be well in a few days.
The sticker sort of disolves, and you get need to keep turning the rag as it absorbs the whitish residue.

Clive- i couldnt find them either, but found this thread that might help: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...p?threadid=2074
Wow pfb, you're brave, I gave up on trying to take off the front labels and started this sticker craze about a year ago. I didn't have goof-off and every thing I was willing to try didn't dent it, congrats. On the other hand the labels on the back on the fuzzy stuff came off easily after soaking with alcohol (leave sponge soaked with alcohol on top for a few minutes, and then peel off), which is why I originally sold only front stickers.

I was just thinkin' about this very thing. I wonder if other countries have the strict airbag laws we do that require such ugliness? I'd love to have the stickers, but factory clean would be even better. Does anyone know about the other countries visors?
I'm sure it has something to do with our lawsuit crazy society. You probably won't be able to sue if your sticker is covered up. Or do I have that backwards? Or is it they can sue you if the sticker is there? or maybe...Oh forget it, I'm getting a headache.
The labels are completely gone. In fact, I've had to return some payments that came in. But I'll be ordering some more next week. I'll post yet antother GB next week. Just when I think everybody must have them by now, more people show up asking about them.
