Default Removed badges, weird "lip" on the front

I just removed the badge on my S2000 and there's these two "lips" I guess is the best word for them behind the front badge. This wouldn't be a problem since I'm replacing them with another badge, but the front badge is a TINY bit smaller than the original so you can see this stupid lip with the new badge on. What the hell is this thing? Did any of you have this when removing your badges? For reference I drive a 2003.

Also, I'm sure this has been talked about numerous times, but what's the best cleaner to get the left off glue for the side and back emblems?

Is there a problem with my bumper?

Someone painted over the sticky tape from the original H.

The badge was removed before you for painting.

Weird, that's what I feared. I did a carfax on the car and it didn't say it was in any accidents...I wondered if the fender had been painted in the past. stupid people. How much do new fenders cost for AP1s?

It is no big deal. Many people repaint their bumpers to fix rock chips, little scratches from normal driving.

a good painter would have sanded or completely removed the sticky lip.

What would you recommend for me to fix this? I want to put the new emblems on there but don't want to deal with this stupid lip. Should I get a body shop to sand that down and repaint the bumper or buy a whole new bumper and paint it?

Mine and my friends were like that too, never had the bumpers repainted and neither has anyone else.

Just get a re paint and while your at it cover up the holes and run the shaved look. Much cleaner imo. Bumper repaint with shaving holes would probably only be around 300 or so.

quick question...what do people usually put in place of the two holes if they were to try and run with shaved emblems? Some kind of liquid paste that dries up and then painted over? Looking towards possibly doing this in the future and would like to know what I'm in for?

Plastic weld. I didn't do it myself but that is what they used.
