Default Undertray Diffuser

Its been discussed here before that the S2000's underbody wasn't given much thought by Honda while creating the car. From testimonials here and personal experience, I agree that the car does not inspire confidence at 130+mph like a BMW or Porsche.

Has anyone here installed an Undertray Diffuser like this one:

It's by no means cheap - but can anyone attest to enhanced handling or feel because of this or similar applications?

Thanks for your input

^He has the Password JDM piece that goes from bumper to bumper.

From my understanding it makes the car feel suctioned to the road at speed.

Yep, that's the product that the Science of Speed link points to.

Driving at 130+ mph isn't something I do every day; not even every year! For the rare occasions (e.g., racing an F-14 Tomcat along I-81) I do, it would not seem worth the cost. Of course if you have money to burn go for it, but then why not just buy the BMW or Porsche?

i think the reasoning for the S not having a diffuser while its nice looking is the cost vs. performance benefits. the S was never meant to be a top end run type vehicle, its geared way too short. also, after 4th gear the S is pretty much done. plus how often are you barreling at 120+ on a straightaway and hitting the brakes to hit a corner at 50+.

In theory the airflow under my S2000 is less turbulent, and more aerodynamic than a stock S2000, and like I have said in my own thread, the car is more stable. We have no wind tunnel data but the principles and engineering are already been established by others.

The ASM GT Wing and Mugen CF Hardtop are additional items that helps as well.

I am not the only one with this modification.
