removing badge on trunk

you're gonna need to remove the plastic clips too. it's a PITA, but you need use thread or dental floss to loosen the adhesive, then you need to open the trunk, reach your fingers behind the badge & push against the plastic clips to pop them out.

I wasn't aware that later models were different.
I could have sworn when I replaced the badge on the trunk it sort of 'snapped' in, but maybe I'm wrong, it was several years ago.

I do not know for a fact, but I suspect all the same. It would be way less money for Honda to just make new badges than to change metal and plastic body molds just to move a couple of holes farther apart.
