Default Removing badges

Hi All

I'm planning on removing all badges on my baby tomorrow, are there anything to be aware of ?

I plan to use dental floss to get them off. I read something on some threads on the subject, that there are some hooks under the front badge. Does this mean that there are drilled holes beneath the badge ????

Good tips and sugestions appreciated, thanks in adavance.

sun, there are holes behind the badges. (at least in the 02s). The back is real easy to take off, the front was a mother! I had to break the front one into a million pieces! I did scratch the bumper a little bit. I was kind of pissed, but it wasn't too bad. i would just recommend protecting all around the existing badge with a towel or something so whatever tool you use won't scratch. By the way, I heard 00 and 01 badges aren't as bad as 02's. Good luck!

I got some help from airgate in another thread on front badge removal:
just use some needle-nose pliers behind the bumper to break the posts and the badge will come right off with no damage to the car.

I wanted to remove the front badge and put a bigger H in the "mouth" of the bumper, like the ssm concept.
Would it be too much trouble to fill in the hole.

I recently removed mine, but I dont think you want to do it the way I did. My car was totaled, so i just used a pocket knife. I had to have the memorandums.

Hi,

I'm confused as well, if there is holes behind front and rear badges, how did people without these, cover the holes ???

To Bass:
The whole point in removing the badges, was to have clean car, not to put some other badges on it.

I think I'll just start up with the side badges, and before doing anything to the front and rear I'll have a peak on the back side to side how things looks there.
