Default Removing CDV vs 03 clutch cylinder

Is there any material difference between an AP2 clutch cylinder with CDV removed and an 03 cylinder?

I recently bought an 03 cylinder from HTG (I removed the CDV on my previous S, and it was a nightmare taking the ring out). It looks very different from the AP2 cylinder. So want to make sure that I'm not missing something here -- i.e. there isn't any major drawback of using an 03 cylinder on later models.

Thanks

Ther 03 and 04 cylinders are different, but both work on AP2s, but imo you're looking in the wrong place if you're trying to fix clutch slip.

There is an easier way to remove ap2 cdv's with the drill method.

I never liked the idea of swapping older items. The 03 is different and honda changed it for a reason. There are no reports of anything wrong with 03 swapped cyls.

You'll have to shorten the retaining pin on the clutch fluid line where it attaches to the MY03 cylinder.

It is very easy to remove the clip if you buy yourself a set of mechanics picks about 10 bucks at sears. It took me less than an hour from start to finish.
