Default Removing center console cover

Are there any tricks to removing the center console cover? I lost my parking card underneath it (slid it down behind the flip lid for drink holder instead of placing it in storage slot behind it accidentally). I see the black plastic tabs, and assume that they merely pull out and that will release the cover. Can anyone set me straight, offer tips, etc.?

Thanks!
