subzero cryo rotors are cryotreated OEM rotors and can be had in 3 flavors, plain, slotted, and slotted/crossdrilled. Wear tests show significant wear resistance, upwards of 3 times the normal wear period.
Sebring track days have shown no wear on subzero rotors, but OEM's show stress cracking after a full hard day.

So the extra cash is actually justified.
I have to say, it totally depends on how you drive/use your car. Mine is a track toy, there is no way I would move away from OEM, the rotors are cheap enough and well made, the calipers can be rebuilt easy enough and getting parts is never an issue, and with better pads and fluid, the OEM system is just about as good as it gets.
However, if looks are the key and not true performance, I'm sure there are a lot of aftermarket bling like options out there.

i just ruined my back rotors at the track and was thinking about aftermarket replacements. consensus from the guys who seriously track their s2k was to stick with stock rotors and upgrade from OEM pads. OEM pads do get mushy if you're running hard on the track... not sure how this compares to autocross...i listen to the track masters.

Speaking of that, does anyone sell the rotors treated against rusting on the side and inner section? I absolutely hate a clean car with nasty rusted rotors. I've heard of anodizing but not sure if that's it or who has it available.

How did you do that? I'm amazed. I go through about 10 sets of front rotors per one set of rears.

When do you know when to replace the rotors?
Obviously, if the rotor is cracked or otherwise damaged it has to be replaced regardless of the service limits.
