replacement of S2000 key
OK guys to my knowledge the S2000 has the same imobilizer system as my 2001 Type-R did...amd with the Type-R I got the above key but, with the R where the S2000 is of course...and as long as the imobilizer was on the keyring than the car would start...it didn't have to be in the key hole...prolly work the same for our cars!
Um, so are people seriously considering a new ECU or disabling the immobilizer all to get a cool looking key!?!
Talking about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Sure it would be nice to have a cool key, but really to disable the system or buy a new ECU......

That is a good looking key but here are the factors to consider, those with the Boomerang 2000 or upcoming 3000 alarm system will be familar with the remote start feature. For the immobilizer to successfully detect the presence of the chip, it must be placed only at a certain angle and position.
Hanging the chip on your keyring will not permit it to start because it is out of range, the range distance itself is the maximum extension of approximately 1mm - 1
