My S has 17" Fitapaldis and Perelli 225 45 z17. I need new rears and am looking for suggestions as to size and any recomendations as to where to buy. Can I go to 40's on the rear? Will there be any problems in switching to another brand on the rear?
Thanks in advance

I'm assuming the 225 45 17 are rear only (do you have 205 50 17 on fronts?). If you go to 225 40 17, that will drop the rear of the car by about 1/2". If you are sensitive, you may feel a handling differences. Also, your speedo and odometer will read about 3% high. You can go 235 40 17, and that will drop the rear only about 1/4".

I haven't driven an S2K with different type tires front and rear, but if they are similar in performance, it should be OK.

The weels and tires are the same on all four. I would like to keep the 225 45's on the front. There is plenty of tread on the fronts but I would like to change the rears.
