Replacement Top
Have tears on both sides on MY01
What is the best repl. top to get?
Which is better, vinyl or canvas?
Read good things about E-Z Top & Robbins.
Probably upgrade to a glass heated window.
Your thoughts... & thanks for your input..
Cheers...

OEM for fitment and no budget worries
Robbins for aftermarket with OEM quality material at a lower price (vinyl)
EZ On for the cheapest alternative. Material is on par with OEM and robbins. Installation is only a fraction more difficult.
Vinyl is going to be less maintenance than cloth and less expensive. Cloth will be a darker black but will require more maintenance to keep it looking new.
Since you have a 2001 though, I'd recommend the robbins or EZ-On since it comes with everything to retrofit the frame to accept a glass back.

Just as a bit of info, even if you take it to the dealer, they still sub it out to a local upholstery shop about 90% of the time. MSRP on the honda top is about $1200 and wholesale on it is about $830 from most dealers (majestic sells for $780 I think but they won't ship the top). The dealer charges about $900 for install while most upholstery shops tend to charge between $500-$700 for the job.
The biggest thing to make sure any shop knows that does the jobs is that the roll hoops do NOT come apart. I've seen a ton of installs from "the dealer" where they just broke the roll hoops apart and the customer ended up having to deal with it after the fact.
