Default Replacing the 02 Center Console with 04
When you swap the 00-03 console with the 04, does the shifter boot stay in place or does it come off with the old console?

Has anyone done this?

It is part of the old console. Yes, many have done this swap. If you do a search, there is a few How to threads on this subject.

This is an extremely easy swap. One of the nice parts of the 04 console is that the new boot is leather.
