Red face Replacing OEM ECU with an OEM ECU!

I want to remove my OEM ECU and then to fit another OEM ECU. But I must be sure that my S will start once I put the key on with the other OEM ECU. What steps should be followed? I have search the S2000 Service Manual and also some topics around but cant find the way.

Is there any way Wisconsin S2K's reply can be posted so we all can learn how to do this?

It's not really information that is readily given out, and certainly not on the forums. It could help potential car thieves, if they had access to this kind of info. The short answer is, if you're going to do an ECU swap, have the dealership help you with the keys.

The dealer will have to be involved in this. Your keys and new ECU will have to be reprogramed. Otherwise when you install your new ECU the car will never start. We charge an hour to preform this function.
